Solo Rosso

Produced in the region of Puglia (the heel of Italy’s boot), specifically the Salento area in the south of the region in the provinces of Lecce, Brindisi and Taranto.  While the climate is hot, the region has significant rainfall all year round and the proximity of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas leads to cooler nights that enable the grapes to retain some freshness.  While the majority of the grapes are harvested in early September, a proportion are left for up to 10 days longer; these late harvest grapes adding to the character and complexity of the finished wine.
