The Gueguen family is based in the hamlet of Préhy, just 7km south-west of Chablis. The Domaine was created in January 2013 by husband and wife, Céline and Frédéric. With 23 ha of vines under their management, they have 35 plots at their disposal to handcraft every single wine.
Despite the relative youthfulness of this domaine, Céline has always been around wine. Indeed, she happens to be the daughter of Jean-Marc Brocard, owner of the largest bio-dynamic estate in Chablis. Frédéric also has a wealth of experience in winemaking as he worked for his uncle, Jean Durup, before joining his father-in-law, Jean-Marc Brocard for 15 years.
The range is extremely coherent and the wines produced here all share a common denominator which seems to be the purity of their wines. Textbook Chablis with a real sense of honesty and no make-up. Do not overlook the Bourgogne Chardonnay Les Côtes Salines which offers exceptional value for money.
The wines are all fermented in stainless steel only using indigenous yeasts.
